Set: Interdisciplinary Arts Practices MA programmes

The Interdisciplinary Arts Practices MA programmes are located within the School of Arts between the fields of Fine Art and Music and are taught by a team of research-active practitioners, recognized as leaders in their respective fields. The Department is situated within the School of Arts known nationally and internationally for the strength of its research culture.

The programmes comprise four taught postgraduate courses for visual-artists, composers and interdisciplinary practitioners:

These courses locate creative practice in an interdisciplinary context and have been designed for visual and sonic artists, composers and musicians working in a broad spectrum of media. They are of particular relevance to students wishing to expand the scope of their creative practices by questioning boundaries, initiating shifts in perception, and embarking on work relevant to contemporary life. A concern for location, context and audience is a central aspect of the programme. All projects culminate in a public presentation or performance.
